USHL 2017 Fall Classic
USHL will be hosting the USHL Fall Classic at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township September 27th through October 1st. This will be the first time since the 2012-2013 season that all 17 USHL teams will compete on the same ice. USHL players from across the country and Canada will travel to Butler County to compete, as scouts from the the NHL and NCAA evaluate the players for recruitment.
UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex will also host two invitational youth tournaments in conjunction with the USHL Fall Classic. There will be 16 16U teams and 16 14U teams competing. Aligning these two tournaments gives the younger players an opportunity to see the speed and skill set required to play at the Tier 1 level.
With all 17 USHL teams and 32 youth organizations participating in the same location, this national event will be a great opportunity for scouts and fans to see future NCAA and NHL talent in one place. After the highly successful USHL Fall Classic in 2016, the 2017 tournament has filled up all hotel rooms in the county and has continued to fill rooms outside, as well. The Penguins are excited and honored for the return of the USHL Fall Classic, and look forward hosting for the second straight year.
