We've been loving ABC Classic FM's spotlight on Will Barton this week for NAIDOC Week. Have you?
This year's Bangalow Music Festival features even more of his masterful didjeridu playing, including the new work Bangalow Dreamsong, which will premiere at the Festival Prelude. Come hear Will perform alongside the outstanding Northern NSW choirs, children's choirs, and the musicians of Southern Cross Soloists. Hear even more of his virtuosic talent over the course of the weekend, in Four Last Songs, Spirit of the People, and Beyond Nature's Furies.
FESTIVAL PRELUDE
17 August 2017
7:30pm
A&I Hall, Bangalow
Bangalow Dreamsong is a collaboration between Southern Cross Soloists, didjeridu virtuoso and composer Will Barton, and Hollywood-based Australian composer Joe Twist. It will combine western art music with songlines of the indigenous community of the Northern NSW region, celebrating both the ancient history of the area and today's communities. Bangalow Dreamsong will be for the community, by the community, with local choirs performing alongside professional musicians including Southern Cross Soloists and Will Barton.

Bangalow Dreamsong finds a synthesis between cultures as they converge through performance and music. Come experience this significant new Australian work, and explore the history of our diverse backgrounds.
