Eat Fuck Kill, the old school button from 1997

EAT FUCK KILL
the 20th anniversary shop

Last weekend I did something I've been wanting to do for *years*. I took a silkscreening class (at a great DIY place in Oakland called Grease Diner)!

Guess which design I used?

Yup. Eat Fuck Kill.

Btw, if you're wondering what's under that last "L," it says "20FCKNGYRS."

Why?

Well, I wanted it to look different from the work shirts I pulled 20 years ago, so I added that line to show it's part of the new batch. It is also smaller. This design measures 5.5" diameter (just right) while the vintage one measures 7.5" diameter (too big, imo).

I practiced pulling the design on swatches for a while before trying it for reals. Note that I used a teal ink instead of solid black.

I also practiced on paper scraps. I love it on the yellow. It was fun to see this design in different colors.

You can see in the back there that I made canvas tote bags! I will have a limited supply of those available when the shop opens on July 20. I was SO HAPPY with how they came out. I decided to keep one for myself and look forward to freaking out the Normals at the grocery store.

Then, on Sunday, I found out that my friend has a laser cutter in his garage. So we put the EFK art in his computer and fired the laser up. We played around with a bunch of different sizes and outputs. This was one of the better ones. I think something like this would look cool as an earring.

It's been super satisfying (and fun!) to get these ideas out of my head and turned into tangible items.

Thanks for watching it all unfold,

P.S. I'm looking for alt-EFK buttons. If you have a "Greet Fuck Chill" or "Romp Chomp Stomp" (or whathaveyou) button, please contact me asap.
