Third Sector Directory 

Everyone's Children have been building a directory with information on third sector organisations working with children, young people and families in North-West Glasgow. The current draft can be accessed via our website's Mapping Project tab.

We will be expanding to map other areas of the city soon. If you would like to be in the directory, please fill in our survey. 

Citywide Forum - ELC Event 

On 21st June Everyone's Children and the Citywide Forum held a well attended and informative event looking at changes to early learning and childcare in Scotland.

North West Networking

We jointly hosted a great networking event with the North West Voluntary Sector Network and the North West Wellbeing Network on 28 June. A variety of organisations were able to meet GCHSCP, Glasgow Life, GCC staff and local councillors. There was a real buzz about the event, with over 40 third sector organisations present. 

We are hosting more networking events in the North East and the South in the Autumn. If you are interested, please e-mail: lisa.wright@gcvs.org.uk 

Glasgow Community Plan Consultation 

The public consultation on Glasgow's Draft Community Plan is now live. The draft outlines key priorities for Glasgow including childcare and transport. More details are available hereThe deadline for responses is 31 August 2017. 

Volunteer Database 

Glasgow Sport have developed a volunteer database to assist: 

1. Individuals to search & join sport related volunteer opportunities.
2. Sports clubs & organisations to recruit & coordinate volunteers.

Information Sharing (Scotland) Bill 

The Children and Young People (Information Sharing) (Scotland) Bill and accompanying documents were published on Tuesday 20 June.

Life Chances of Young People in Scotland

Naomi Eisenstadt, The Independent Advisor on Poverty and Inequality, has published the second report to the First Minister on The Life Chances of Young People.

Research into Social Media and Child Mental Health 

The Education Policy Institute published, 'Social media and children's mental health: a review of the evidence', on 30th June. Access the full report here.

The Children (Equal Protection from Assault) (Scotland) Bill consultation will close on 4 August 2017. Respond here.

GIRFEC Information Sharing & Policy Update FREE
Thursday 21st September - Albany Centre 
Following the publication of the Children and Young People (Information Sharing) (Scotland) Bill, the ALLIANCE is providing updated Getting it Right for Every Child information events across Scotland. 

Everyone's Children will be hosting the Glasgow workshop, in partnership with the ALLIANCE, on 21st September.

One Parent Families Scotland are running a new training programme for professionals covering: universal credit, child maintenance service, and conditionality and sanctions.
