Summer has arrived – Finally a stretch of blue skies and hot days. It’s the time of year to fire up the grill, roast marshmallows, enjoy the bounty of the land and long evenings outdoors. 

 .   

Our locals, our tourists and our fruit & veggies LOVE this weather! The heat-loving crops like tomatoes, cantaloupe and watermelon all have fruit set & are growing fantastic. Farmer Tom is particularly excited about the big watermelon crop coming!! Before you know it, we will be harvesting everyone’s favourite- sweet corn. It’s a summer time staple in our house. We have cherries, zucchini, new potatoes and cucumbers in the market now with much more to come soon.

Did you know that we are open until 8:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays through July and August? It’s a great time to come relax on the patio with a Real Fruit Ice Cream or a slice of  fresh baked pie (the bakery also introduced Cherry Turnovers this week and they are delicious!). Orchard tours now run every day until 4 pm so come, see for yourself how the crops are doing.Enjoy the summer and this amazing Okanagan Valley. If you are not from the area – come for visit!
