Thanks for Sharing: The Art of Instant, Global Inspiration has moved on to The Port Angeles Fine Art Center. Which is in a really cool house... "The semi-circular Webster House, designed in 1951 by innovative Northwest architect Paul Hayden Kirk, sits on the crest of Beaver Hill. With sweeping vistas of the city,  harbor, Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Canada's Vancouver Island, the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center presents an atmosphere conducive to observation and reflection." This show ends on July 2nd... If you're interested in seeing all the work for sale - It's here...
Greetings from Port Townsend, WA. If you're in the northern hemisphere, I hope you're enjoying summer. Down under...Brrrrrrr. Merry winter!

I've been pretty busy. Here's some of what's been happening since I last wrote -
  • Thanks for Sharing: The Art of Instant, Global Inspiration was a great success in Port Townsend and has since moved to Port Angeles, about an hour from here. Photos above.
  • Our new pup Ruben is awesome.
  • I got engaged to my lovely Laura while on a fantastic trip to The Netherlands and Belgium.
  • I participated in the Edmonds Art Festival. Photos below.
  • I had my work featured in Professional Artist Magazine - June/July Issue. (You can read the article at that link.)
  • I finished the book I've been working on for many moons - with my composer friend Kurt Erickson - Sarah And The Magic Piano. It's a great book (I'd say) and you can find it on our website & Amazon. Details below...
  • I met with some really cool folks at Starbucks about doing some work for their stores... That's interesting!
  • OH YES!  - I've got a new show with TONS of work opening on July 7th on Bainbridge Island WA at Bainbridge Arts and Crafts Gallery. Super cool non profit gallery that supports arts education with the proceeds of sales. Beautiful space too. "Translucence" Features John Adams (Watercolor) and Tiffany Thiele (Glass).
  • More info on some of these things below...
Cheers!

A bunch of my pieces on the wall in the Port Townsend version of
Thanks for Sharing: The Art of Instant, Global Inspiration.
This is Ruben the day I met him in Arnhem Netherlands... Kind of cute.
Yes - That's Laura and I! We'll probably get married next year sometime. I'm lucky.
A couple shots of my booth the Edmonds Art Festival. I had a great time. Met a ton of nice folks. Sold a bunch of paintings. Enjoyable. I'll be at The Bellevue Arts Festival Last weekend in July...
Above is my business partner, Composer, Kurt Erickson demo-ing how our new book works... Read all about it at www.sarahandthemagicpiano.com. More info about Kurt there also. But the book from our site now and you're in for a treat! - Below is a spread from the book.
From the notes about my upcoming show at Bainbridge Arts and Crafts - "The outward pandemonium of a Biskup painting belies the meditative process that the artist employs in creating each piece." - I thought that was pretty good. I hope you'll get a chance to see all the work. I'll post a lot of the on Instagram. I've been having a BLAST framing many them in cedar. Like the one below...
