MEET THE WINNERS OF THE EHMA 2017 AWARDS!

In line with EHMA's interest in shaping health futures, the inspiration for our 2017 Annual Conference theme, new knowledge that addresses challenges related to this issue is of utmost importance. This is why EHMA annually, supported by the Karolinska Medical Management Centre, dedicates special attention to excellence in research with a PhD-focused award. Beginning this year, this award was supplemented by the new EHMA Award for Best Poster Presentation.

The Karolinska Medical Management Centre & EHMA Research Award promotes high-quality research on health organisation and management. Overseen by the EHMA Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC), the competition brings early career researchers to present their studies in front of an academic audience. The 2017 Award went to Mrs. Federica Centauri (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Italy), for her work on "Moving beyond initial implementation: a multiple case study of lean as an organisational-wide strategy".

This year EHMA also introduced a new award dedicated to the Best Poster Presentation. The Award was given by EHMA Director, Dr. Usman Khan, to Mrs. Helen Pardoe (Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, UK) for her work that found "In a multi-ethnic environment in the UK less than 50% of the population can use telephone consultation".
