Did You Know?
The CTSI offers the Research Team Builder service that can connect faculty members with established researchers who have obtained funding in their field. The report is built from data available through the NIH Reporter Matchmaker application, which analyzes large amounts of text and gives ranked results of projects that most closely resemble the concept and terms in the provided text. Researchers can supply a conference abstract, research statement, or other scientific text up to 15,000 characters, and the CTSI will do the rest. See an example and learn more in the CTSI Stories Blog.
To obtain a report, contact the Research Help Desk.

REDCap Tip of the Month:
Limiting Survey Responses
Have you ever run a registration or enrollment survey in REDCap with a limited number of spots? Did you wish that you could automatically limit the number of survey responses?
Now you can set a maximum number of responses to collect with the new “response limit” option for surveys. This option will prevent respondents from starting the survey after the limit has been reached. The field exists in the survey settings menu within the online designer page.
To define a response limit, enter a number into the response limit field. If this field is left blank, there will be no limit imposed on the number of survey responses. Limits must be set up for each survey individually. You have the option to include or exclude partially completed responses as part of this limit. Additionally, you can craft custom text to be displayed once the survey limit has been reached.

Thanks to the University of Washington Institute of Translational Health Sciences for their ongoing REDCap Tip of the Month series.
