Greetings everyone! Apwoyo matek!
This month was very fun and refreshing. We studied the books of Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther. It was a blessed time looking at the promises of God coming true. God's faithfulness preserved the remnant. We finished Old Testament history this month.
We also got to spend a very blessed day at the Recreation Project here in Gulu. We did the rockwall, zipline and plenty of team building games! You can watch the video by clicking here. (I kept this section shorter because the video says more than I ever could about our day there.)
We are so excited for July when we will be doing a survey of 1 &2 Chronicles and also studying Hebrews! Now that we have a solid foundation in the Pentateuch, unlocking Hebrews will be a blast!

Dream Center Uganda

Dream Center is undergoing much growth and development!
The farming project has continued to do well. The seeds have grown well, except for invading ants munching on them. Continue to pray for rain as everyone growing crops needs it.
The clinic has been busy, busy! Many of you know but we are so excited to share the story of a great success of one of our nurses. As we shared last month, while my folks were here we did a training class on helping newborns breath. Well this last week one of our wonderful nurses, Emmanuel, got to use that training to breath for a newborn until she began breathing on her own. We are so proud! It is a privilege and and honor to be able to save lives while proclaiming the goodness of God.
I (Kristin) would continue to ask for your prayers for wisdom and guidance. Changes are never easy, even when they are for good but our great staff has been so patient and gracious with us as changes are made. This week I got to meet with two folks who run about 15 clinics around northern Uganda. They shared their resources and guidelines and documents with me and gave me some great advice. There is a lot of growth and change coming in the future, but please pray that I would walk in the will of the Lord and be a great encouragement to our staff in the clinic. At times the task of running Dream Center can be overwhelming, but we praise God that it isn't up to us to run, it is up to Him.

Odds and Ends

We are still busy busy with Kent and Becca being on furlough, but we are so glad they have time to rest and share about what God is doing.

Jon was invited to teach a session at a pastor's conference in the town of Pader (about 2.5 hours east of us). He will be teaching on Biblical suffering to upwards of 100 pastors from northern Uganda. Pray for him, the other speakers and all who will be listening.

Touch the World is the ministry which turned Dream Center over to us to run and manage on the ground, and they are sending a team to visit Dream Center this week as well. We are very excited to see them and have been blessed by them.

A Personal Note from Kristin

You get a bonus section this month!
Please lift us up in prayer a little extra this month as almost all of our ex-pat friends here in Gulu are back in the US on furlough. It is much easier to be lonely and feel discouraged when so many of our beloved friends are away visiting. Though the next month will be a bit lonley, we are looking very forward to seeing our friends when they return refreshed! And we are excited for what God is doing here in Gulu.
