Nonprofit Round Table

Nonprofit, service organization members and affiliates are invited to a round table discussion and networking opportunity. This event will allow you to share ideas and facilitate collaboration among other nonprofits and service organizations in our community. Join the West Chamber Young Professionals for a fun happy hour at Lucha Cantina. This event will give attendees the opportunity to network with young professionals from all over Jefferson County. Join the Small Business Development Center for this info session to learn whether strategic marketing is right for you. This is a six-week course designed to teach and give you a better understanding of sales and marketing, which will substantially increase the chances of business success. 4th Annual Small Business Night at Coors Field

Tuesday, August 29, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Join the Colorado SBDC Network, the Colorado Rockies and the Colorado Business Development Foundation as they host a fun evening of networking and baseball on Tuesday, August 29! Meet at the ballpark at 4:30 p.m. to enjoy pulled-pork sandwiches, hot dogs and brats while networking with more than 400 small business owners from around the state. They will have some fun games and raffles, including the opportunity to win a batting practice experience and tickets to a future game! Before the game starts, attendees will move to the Rockpile to cheer on the Rockies and continue networking. Tickets include food and soda before the game as well as a Rockpile ticket. Positive Trends Continue from Monthly Economic Indicators

Metro Denver's monthly economic measures indicated that Colorado's economic growth prospects remain healthy. Highlights include the lowest seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Denver's history, and a more-than 12% increase in the consumer Confidence Index. Access the report here.

SBA Offers Disaster Assistance to Colorado Businesses and Residents Affected by Hailstorm

Low-interest federal disaster loans are available to Colorado businesses and residents affected by the hailstorm that occurred May 8, 2017. The disaster declaration makes SBA assistance available in Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Gilpin, Jefferson, Park and Teller counties. The filing deadline to return applications for property damage is August 29, 2017. The deadline to return economic injury applications is March 30, 2018. Applicants may apply online using SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela. For more information and to download applications, visit https://www.sba.gov/disaster.
