Hope everyone had a wonderful and fun 4th of July! Just a reminder that Sunnyside’s next show is this Sunday, July 9th. You can go to our website, sunnysidesaddleclub.org to see the class list and patterns for the show. All of our forms are on our website, so you can download them and have them filled out in advance to bring to the entry booth the morning of the show.
Remember, if you pre-register on line by 8 p.m. on Friday, July 7, you will pay $4.50 per class instead of $4.95per class. When you pre-register online, you still need to fill out an Entry Formand bring the completed form to the entry booth.
It is mandatory that all participants fill out a Liability Waiver form.If the participant is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must also sign the waiver form. This form only needs to be filled out one time during the show season and will be kept on file in the entry booth. This form is available on our website and also at the entry booth. You will not be allowed to participate in our shows if we do not have a completed Liability Waiver on file.
Our membership form is available online and at the entry booth. The annual cost for a single membership is $25, or $30 for a family membership. If you become a member of Sunnyside Saddle Club, you can also become eligible to win year-end cash awards at our annual banquet in November. The requirements to qualify for the year-end awards are listed on the membershipform and are:
Complete 4 volunteer hours for a single membership, or 6 volunteer hours for a family membership, or pay $150 in lieu of completing volunteer hours.
You or your representative (parent, relative, friend) must attend a minimum of 2 monthly SSC meetings between February and October or do an approved equitable exchange.
You must participate in at least 4 of the 6 regular SSC point shows during the season and you must participate a minimum of four times in same class, on the same horse, to be eligible for a year end award in that class.
It is important to become a club member by the end of the first show in which you participate, to have any points you accumulate at that show count towards the year end awards.

If you are not able to physically volunteer at the shows there are tons more ways you can help. We would love donations of baked treats or hot food items for the Half Fast Cafe, prize donations and more.

We always need volunteer help at our shows and this is a good way to get your volunteer hours for the club. Anyone can volunteer to work for an exhibitor, just be sure you fill out the information in the volunteer book on the table by the entry booth. This needs to be filled out the day of the show and signed off by one of the club officers. We always can use help at the ribbon and prize table, entry booth, being a ring steward helping the judges, setting up and taking down the jumps and trail class obstacles. All of the volunteer help makes our shows run more smoothly.
