BROOMALL'S DAM REMOVAL

Broomall's Dam removalThe PA DEP's project to partially breach Broomall's Dam, which started on May 15, is nearing completion. It is scheduled to be done by July 14. This photograph, looking upstream at the dam from the park, was taken last Wednesday.

We continue to work with a community coalition that is advocating for a footbridge once the dam is removed - we will keep you posted. For an in-depth recap of the PA DEP's February meeting when they explained the project, and diagrams of the breach and construction area, see our website.
