Our new colleague programme coordinator

Our ship that will keep cruising locally and regionally, but also globally, will be joined by a new colleague, a new strength and fresh energy. After open and public call, we hired a new programme coordinator: Marija Jakovljević, a sociologist, activist and definitely a passionate advocate for animal rights and environment protection.
She will start working at the 1st of July 2017 and it will be a new experience for us too. We are looking forward to it and can’t wait for her to be met by the persons we change social patterns with, groups we support and donors we cooperate with.

When someone dedicates over twelve years of knowledge, passion, commitment and political wisdom, empathy and intelligence to the building of a local feminist foundation that lives and works with a clear conscience regarding the consequences of its decisions, then praises sound somehow... shallow. Since that is exactly what it is, nothing more or less – that is a common responsibility in a common struggle for a different world.
We are proud we had Snježana Milivojević, Staša Zajović and Svenka Savić as members of our Executive Board. Since June 2017 our common struggle continues and only the superficial ones would say it will continue in a different way. Since, however you put it, there is only one way. It is not always about what you do, but about how and whom you do it with. And we will keep doing it with Dušica Parezanović, Olga Manojlović Pintar and Slavica Stojanović. No more and no less. Just as needed.

It is a challenge to see a different world and to see the world differently. That is the legendary move – to turn things upside down. And to bring to the light all that has been hidden, wrongly interpreted, excluded: events and ideas, realities deprived of their value, importance and history.
We are opening up the reality depoliticized by the mess, noise and rage. This serial is dedicated to this year.

It is a fact that there are not many women speaking publicly. It is also a fact that there is not much real dialogue, critical thinking and speaking in the public (and not only public) space.
On the other hand, we can see that almost always same people keep appearing in the media and at various meetings (including women’s and feminist meetings) as speakers and interlocutors. There are many reasons – some women are really good speakers, some do have a lot to say but prefer not to do it publicly, and journalists (and others) are sometimes lazy to look for some new contacts to talk to.
Reconstruction Women’s Fund presents you the base of stipendists of our “Žarana Papić” programme – Interlocutors. We focused on the stipendists because we know that this base accumulates broad and rich knowledge, and we are also aware that similar bases already exist. This base is intended for the media and organizers of different conferences, debates, discussions – and will offer them interlocutors who are experts in various fields.
The base is not final – it presents only stipendists who were awarded the scholarship and who chose to take part in this initiative. We hope that in time future interlocutors will join in.

Joyfullness and Craziness 8

For the eight time, Reconstruction Women’s Fund organizes JOYFULNESS CRAZINESS, the manifestation which creates a space for exchange, companionship, solidarity actions and networking.
This year we shall be unrestrainedly joyful and crazy in the Pančić Park.
To our 8th craziness and joyfullness we lead you through intergenarational waves, we sing, play and create together, because for us it is important to be together, to dream together and in the times of confusion to know how to connect in solidarity and help each other.
