 WE CAN FIX REFINERIES AND END FUEL IMPORTS BY 2019 - KACHIKWU

The Honorable Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu has reiterated the resolve of the  Ministry of Petroleum Resources to ensure that Nigeria ends the unsavoury practice of products importation by 2019. He stated this in a recent International Press Conference he addressed to outline the plans being put in place to fully implement the refinery initiative of the #7BigWins, which will bring a complete closure to petroleum products importation. KACHIKWU DELIVERS KEYNOTE SPEECH AT PENGASSAN'S 5TH TRIENNIAL NATIONAL DELEGATES CONFERENCE

The Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu delivered the keynote speech at the Petroleum & Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) 5th Triennial National Delegates Conference. The Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, represented His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari at the event which was held in Abuja on Thursday 28th June, 2017. Please click here to download the keynote speech. 

AUDITOR GENERAL FOR THE FEDERATION APPLAUDS DR. IBE KACHIKWU FOR HIS CONSISTENT ZEAL IN ENSHRINING TRANSPARENCY AND EFFICIENCY IN THE PETROLEUM SECTOR

The Auditor General for the Federation, Mr. Anthony Mkpe Ayine and a team of Directors from the Office of the Auditor General for the Federation, on Thursady June 22nd, 2017 paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu. In his welcome speech, Dr. Kachikwu assured the visiting team that the embrace of transparency and accountability is pivotal to achieving the aspirations of the #7BigWins while noting that auditing is closely tied to the afore mentioned. MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES KICKS OFF IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NATIONAL GAS FLARE COMMERCIALIZATION PROGRAMME WITH A WORKSHOP 

The Ministry of Petroleum Resources on Thursday 22nd June, 2017 hosted a kick-off workshop attended by the Implementation team, the Advisers and USAID/Nigeria. The workshop which held on in Abuja was organsied to align on the project deliverables. The World Bank through the Global Gas Flaring Reduction Partnership (GGFR) had eearlier deployed a global expert on gas flare reduction to complement the Implementation Team. The team of advisors will commence work with the team assembled from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Nigeria and the Department of Petroleum Resources to implement the National Gas Flare Commercialisation Programme. KACHIKWU HOLDS STRATEGIC INVESTMENT DRIVE MEETING WITH FRENCH COMPANIES 

The Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu during his recent visit to Europe held a strategic meeting with key investors drawn from 32 French Companies.

The meeting which was  hosted by Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF) International and chaired by Mr. Guy Maurice, Senior Vice President Total E&P Africa, is aimed at encouraging potential French companies to take advantage of the massive opportunities in the Oil and Gas sector in Nigeria. Please click here to read more.

SPECIAL INTERNATIONAL OIL COMPANIES (IOCs) INVESTMENT DRIVE MEETINGS REPORT: 
-  Kachikwu Meets with Total in Paris, Seeks Further Investment in Nigeria's Oil and Gas Sector 

The Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu as part of the continuation of his investment visits to key International Oil Companies operating in Nigeira in June 2017 paid a strategic visit to Total, at their headquarters in Paris, France. The discussions held at the meeting were geared towards strengthening the existing working relationship between Nigeria and the French Oil giant. Dr. Kachikwu also met with some members of the Nigerian community that are working and showcasing excellence at Total. Please click here to read more

-  Kachikwu Meets with Shell in the Hague, Firms up Collaborations To Deepen Investments in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Sector

In furtherance of the commitment of the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (HMSPR), Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu to achieving key aspirations of the #7BigWins, he paid a working visit to the Shell Headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands as pasrt of the ongoing meetings and consultations. Dr. Kachikwu thanked the Shell team for their sustained investments in Nigeria and reiterated on the commitment of the government of Nigeria in firming up collaborations to deepen investments in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Sector. Please click here to read more

FOR ADDRESSING REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT CHALLENGES
IN THE NIGER DELTA


A roadmap for addressing regional development challenges in the Niger Delta is being developed by an inter-agency working group comprising of Ministry of Niger DeltaNiger Delta Development CommissionMinistry of EnvironmentMinistry of Petroleum Resources and Ministry of Power, Works and Housing. This group is working in partnership with experts seconded by Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) and key resource persons financed by a bi-lateral international development partner.

This is in line with the firm commitment of the Federal Government to ensure that a new vision is actualised for the Niger Delta. This also firmly aligns with the unwavering commitment of the Honorable Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu to the Niger Delta and Security component of the #7BigWins. Please click here to read more.
