Street Performers in Niagara Falls

Current city by-laws do not permit street performances on public property.  Recently the Arts, Culture & Museum Committee took a report to council to support a pilot project along with the Queen Street BIA to implement a programme to showcase how such performances can enhance a neighbourhood.

As a result, we are currently accepting applications to be a Niagara Falls Street Performer during Tuesday night`s `Cruising on the Q` cruise night and car show. The selected musicians will perform from 5:00pm - 9:00pm at designated spots along Queen Street, Niagara Falls. Once a musician has been selected by the Selection Committee, it will be the musician`s responsibility to register the $10 registration fee with the City of Niagara Falls at City Hall. Only selected and registered musicians will be allowed to perform during `Cruising on the Q`.
Check out the website set up by the committee for more details and to register.

Artists Database – needs Data to make it work for you

At the Cultural Summit in 2015, the community requested a digital network of information, a database that would allow artists to know who else is in the community and what supplies, materials or work could be communicated and shared with other artists in the community.
Rick Tisi volunteered to create the database, which is now available.
