English impressions, world peace prayers, circles of noble friends

Dear friends,

Greetings from Altenburg, a lovely small town in Germany, where I was a one-year exchange student nine years ago :)

As the starting point for Year Two of the bicycling pilgrimage, I spent one month in England."It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." Judging from the headlines, the past month was certainly among "the worst of times" for the UK. However, when we tune out of the internet and tune into the inner-net, there is a different story unfolding in ordinary living rooms and in open hearts.

It was a blessing to join over half dozen circles of sharing in people's home, and to cycle to sacred places like Amaravati Buddhist Monastery, Glastonbury Tor, and Schumacher College. I departed the UK on Summer Solstice, heart filled with much "wisdom, belief, light, and hope".

Here are some reflections on serendipity, affinities with Japan, "hardest of spiritual paths", labor of love, meditation and prayer, and impressions from the English countryside.

With deep gratitude, I join our global family in prayer: "May Peace Prevail on Earth"!
