This newsletter is dedicated to our three days JPI Urban Europe Conference in Brussels ‘ENGAGING FOR IMPACT: THE NEXT STEP IN URBAN TRANSITION'. The conference comprised a Policy Day, a Cities Day and the annual Projects Meeting of all JPI Urban Europe funded projects. We are very grateful that so many different stakeholders were participating and contributing to discuss the next steps in Urban Transition. It gave us the opportunity to exchange ideas, views and future plans. And now it is up to all of us to transfer the results and findings into concrete actions.
We also put the spotlights on Urb@Exp and Interethnic Co-existence in European Cities, two of our early JPI Urban Europe projects that have been completed. Urban Jeriha from the Institute of Spatial Policies in Ljubljana shares his impressions about attending a JPI Urban Europe Event for the first time. You will also find the announcement of a UN Summer Academy.
The newsletter concludes with several short statements from conference participants about JPI Urban Europe recorded during the three days of events in Brussels.
The JPI Urban Europe Team wishes you a lovely summer! |
