There has been a lot going on at GCI
and with MPSGOLF.COM.
There are a couple of things that I
need you to do in the next few days.
1.On
MPSGOLF.COM, click on the lesson tab and select LPGA/USGA Girls Only Golf tab.
On that page, you will see a girl’s head inside and it says, “changing the face
of the game.” Click on the icon and it will take you to the LPGA website.
There, please register your girls who have participated in any of the clinics
that I have taught. The LPGA will send a golf gift for the girls and we were
fortunate enough to receive a grant based on 75 girls registered. The grant
provides money to offset the cost of the clinics for lower income families and
to provide equipment that will allow the Girls Only Golf program to grow. The cost for this is absolutely
nothing, FREE!!
The 2nd offer from the
LPGA is a Gils Only Golf clinic featuring Hall of Famer, Nancy Lopez. The clinic is at noon, Sunday,July 30th at Conway Farms. Your girls (6-17 years old) can write an essay of design a
T-shirt that if selected, they will actually play a few holes with Nancy Lopez.
The LPGA is willing to charter a bus to pick the girls up at Westfield and take
them to Conway Farms which is located in Lake Forest. The event starts with
lunch, followed by a clinic with Nancy Lopez and then the girls go out to play
and watch Ms. Lopez. Also, the LPGA will be providing shirts and hats or visors
for all the girls attending. The coach
will be at the club during the event, the scheduled end time is approximately
5:00, so we should arrive back at Westfield around 6:30. It is a full day, but
also a once in a lifetime opportunity.
There are only 60 total spots in the
clinic, the LPGA has extended an invitation for our group to bring 24 girls. If
you would like your girls to attend, please call me at 773-858-3978 to reserve
your spot in the field.
And again, the cost
for this is absolutely nothing, FREE!!
