Candidacy Process for Federal Employees

Are you an employee of the Government of Canada considering becoming a candidate in a federal, provincial, territorial or municipal election? Federal public service employees must first request and obtain permission from the Public Service Commission.

Apply by August 1 for GMF capital project funding

Do you need funding for an innovative environmental capital project in your community? We offer low-interest loans of up to $5 million, combined with grants, for environmental capital projects related to energy, transportation, waste and water through FCM’s Green Municipal Fund. Applications are accepted twice a year and the next deadline to apply is August 1, 2017.

Contact an FCM advisor at 1-877-997-9926 or email to ask questions and find out if your project is eligible before you apply. You can also find information about eligibility and how to apply online.

We now also offer grants of up to $1 million for climate change capital projects through the Municipalities for Climate Innovation Program. Applications are accepted year round until January 2020.

Funding is offered through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and provided by the Government of Canada.
