We were overwhelmed with members wanting to do the First Aid Course on Sunday 27 August 2017 so we have now arranged for a second course on Sunday 24 September 2017. This is the first weekend of the school holidays.
The August course is almost full, so if this is the only day you can do it we will try to squeeze you in otherwise we still have plenty of spots in the September course.
There is no minimum or maximum age, however to obtain your certificate you must be able to comprehend the principles and be sufficiently strong and fit enough to complete 2 minutes of CPR kneeling on the floor.
Provider: Medilife When: Sunday 27 August, 9am to 5pm. Where: At the Club Cost: $120 Course Details: HLTAID003 Provide First Aid - Fastrack / Refresher. This includes three units:
Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Provide Emergency Life Support
Provide First Aid
On successful completion you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for these units, the First Aid is valid for 3 years.

Seeking Assistant Instructors
Have you sailed and raced for a season or more? Do you want to help others learn how to sail?
We will be running an Australian Sailing Assistant Dinghy Instructor course at the club on Sunday August 6. As with all of our instructor training the club will assist with the cost of training in return for time volunteered with the club Learn to Sail program.

Racing Rules and Special Regulations
Do you have your copy of the Racing Rules of Sailing and Special Regulations? Australian Sailing has produced e-book versions of the 2017-2020 Blue e-book containing the Racing Rules of Sailing to enable ease of access and portability for members.
The e-book versions of the RRS including Australian Sailing prescriptions are available free of charge and can be downloaded from the popular e-book platforms iBooks and Kobo. All rule references in the e-book versions are bookmarked and searchable, allowing for easy navigation throughout the entire publication.
