CHECK-IN ON LIVE PAGE
We now have a "Check In" button on the live page! When people arrive at your meetup, you can direct them to your Hackster Live page and have them check in. This will replace RSVP's on the live page, and will enable us to be able to see how many people attended your event.
How to Check in on Hackster Live:
When you go to an event on your Live page you will see a "Check In" button.
When you click the "Check In" button you will automatically be checked in and see this screen.
If an attendee is not logged in, or does not have an account they will be prompted to log in first.
If you accidentally check into the wrong event, you can easily cancel your check in by clicking on the options menu and clicking "Cancel check-in"

We've received confirmation that the boxes will be shipped out this week. You will receive an e-mail with a tracking number for your box as soon as it has shipped. This first hackster box includes a lot of the basics to get you started. You can find the list of components here.

August Workshop |
SUMMER VACATION
We are taking a summer vacation for the month of August.* This means you can take a break, run an event you missed in the past months, or run a Hacks and Snacks meetup in August covering the topic of your choice! Maybe build something with the parts in your Hackster box?
We have been working on a new concept for Hackster Live that will hopefully give you all more content to work with as well as provide more flexibility for everyone involved.
We will give you more information soon. Until then, enjoy the break and make the most of the end of summer (or rejoice in the end of winter for those of you in the southern hemisphere)!
*Note: In the last newsletter I mentioned we would be running a workshop over Intel's MinnowBoard in August. This is still happening, but it will be happening in September. |
