New networker and lobbyist for DCDD

We would like to introduce Ewoud Poerink as the new networker and lobbyist of DCDD. He is taking over for Dicky Nieuwenhuis, who will be the new director of Light for the World Netherlands. For the past five years, Ewoud Poerink has been a lobbyist for the rights of young children and made sure policymakers, major stakeholders and media paid more attention to those whose needs were taken least into account, even though policies specifically concerned them: toddlers. Now, Poerink is looking forward to take inclusion of persons with disabilities to a higher level.

Motion calling for impact-monitor of SDGs for disadvantaged groups passed!

Member of Parliament Isabelle Diks (Groen Links) submitted a motion for disadvantaged groups within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals. DCDD is very pleased that this motion was passed! Diks requests the Dutch government to investigate how the impact of the SDGs on marginalised groups (like persons with disabilities) can be monitored. DCDD will critically observe the actions following up on this motion and is willing to actively share thoughts on how this monitor can be set up by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
