Mapping Colorado’s Invisible Pipeline Network

Using GPS data from oil and gas companies, Inside Energy compiled a map showing thousands of flowlines.

Colorado Will Join The U.S. Climate AllianceIn the wake of President Trump's announcement that the U.S. will pull out of the Paris climate agreement, Colorado's Governor announced Tuesday that the state will join the U.S. Climate Alliance, a growing group of states that have pledged to reduce their own carbon emissions. With a new executive order, Governor John Hickenlooper committed Colorado to working to cut emissions more than 26 percent by 2025. Governor Hickenlooper's plan includes constructing electric vehicle charging stations, reducing emissions in government buildings and compelling utilities towards cleaner energy sources, all without imposing any rules.
