2017/2018 Winter Edition
Welcome to the Winter Edition of the Eagle Point Caravan Park. Although it is the quiet period our team at the park have been busy working towards improving the experience our guests have when they stay with us. Have a read of our newsletter to see what we have been up to.

Improvements to the Park

We are always looking at ways to improve our park. Here are some of the improvements we currently have under way.

Our Games Room and adjacent laundry are currently receiving a fresh coat of paint, along with some new furniture to make the area an even better space to enjoy your time at the park with family and friends.

We also have had new concrete stairs put in at the top toilet block and they look great!

Recycling

Recycling is important to us here at Eagle Point Caravan Park. We are located in such a beautiful part of East Gippsland; we can’t help but do our bit. We have created a ‘Recycling Station’ with recycle bins for all of our recycling needs. This is located just in-front of the storage yard. We would appreciate if Annuals and Guests could use the recycling station to help keep the park and surrounds in its pristine and natural condition..

We have updated our website. Have a look and let us know if you have any other ideas for our page. Don't forget if you have any great photos of your time at the park please send them to us for consideration for future newsletters.

FAQ's

FAQ you say? Yes, we get asked the same questions quite a few times so our FAQ sections is here to answer frequently asked questions you may have.

Are we allowed fires at our campsites?
Yes, for most of the year you are. We have Park fire restrictions here ALL year and during CFA fire restrictions and total fire ban days there are to be NO fires lit in the Park.
For the rest of the year, you can have fires on your site. The fire must be contained within a solid firepot that is at least 30cm from the ground with no holes in the bottom and never left unattended.
The fire needs to be extinguished before you leave and coals/soot disposed of appropriately.
At the request of Park Management/Staff, fires may be asked to be extinguished.

Can we collect sticks/wood from the reserve for kindling?
No. The Fauna Reserve across from reception is managed by Parks Victoria and is a protected reserve. The collection of any native fauna, wood, animals and insects is strictly prohibited without correct permits. You can buy loads of firewood from the Caravan Park Reception and you are more than welcome to collect sticks/bark for kindling around the park as long as it is fallen debris and not pulled from established plants/trees/gardens.

Dogs

Eagle Point Caravan Park is a Pet Friendly Park for all of our annual and camping sites. This means that our annuals and guests can bring their fury friends to stay at the park. However, with bringing a pet comes responsibility.  Whilst in the park, your pet is your responsibility.  By adhering to the following rules, you can help make sure pets will always be welcome at Eagle Point Caravan Park:
  • Dogs must be on a lead or contained at all times whilst in the park
  • They are never to be left unattended at the park. This means if you go out, pets must go with you
  • Never leave a pet in the care of a minor with no person/s over 18 years of age whilst at the park
  • Please pick up your pet's droppings
  • Roaming can catch the attention of Rangers as well as being unsafe for pets and other guests if they are around roads/children etc.. No roaming
  • Pets must be registered
  • Barking must be kept to a minimum the absolute best you can. Excessive barking can result in being asked to leave the park immediately.

End of Financial Year and Annuals

With the new financial year now here it is essential any outstanding fees from 2016/2017 are paid. Courtesy reminders were sent back in March if you did not receive them this it is the perfect opportunity to make sure we have your current details. Give our friendly team a call to update any details that may have changed

Twelve Month permit renewals will be arriving via post soon so please make sure these are signed and returned to ensure your permit is renewed. The renewals outline the new fees with the annual fee increase for 2017/2018. If you have any questions about permit renewals please give Park Supervisor Katie Harris a call to discuss.

Be a Part of the Future at Eagle Point Caravan Park

We want to make Eagle Point Caravan Park a friendly and welcoming park for everybody. Sometimes getting from one end of the Park to the other can be a bit of a headache if you don’t know where you’re headed.

We’ will be doing a couple of things to try and make getting around easier for newcomers, visiting friends as well as emergency services. The next thing on our to-do list includes getting your help!
We’re planning on naming each street inside the caravan park and we would love your help.
The street names will follow an Eagle Point theme based on the natural flora/fauna and animals you can find here. Here are some examples of the direction we are going for:
Bluff Court
Red Gum Crescent

If you think you’ve got a great idea for a street to be named, please
send us your suggestions.
