Year 6 School Journey
Year 6 have had a fantastic week on the Isle of Wight! Every day has been jam-packed with fun activities: kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, stand up paddle boarding and surfing.  In the evenings, the children have done team games, orienteering and pool games, as well as enjoyed ice creams! The cooked breakfasts every morning have been a hit, the weather has been perfect all week and we even had a visit from some dolphins during dinghy sailing! It has been lovely to see the children have so much fun after all their hard work this year. Well done Year 6!

Instrumental lessons 2017-2018

Mrs Hardisty is in the process of organising instrumental lessons before she goes on maternity leave in September. Children who will be in years 3-6 in 2018-18 can learn violin, cello, brass or guitar. Please see the attached letter for details and complete the form and hand it into the office if you would like your child to start an instrument. Please also inform the office if your child is planning on giving up lessons at the end of this academic year so that their place can be allocated to someone else and return any instruments to school before the end of term.

Fox Book Club
The final Fox Book Club of the year will be taking place on Tuesday 11 July from 4.00-5.00. We'll be discussing an intriguing novel, "The Nowhere Emporium" by Ross MacKenzie. Please read it and come ready to share your ideas and enjoy some refreshments with other children and parents/carers. As this is the final book club of the year, it is open to children from Year 4, as well as from Years 5 and 6.

We look forward to seeing you at Book Club!

Fox Summer Fair Tokens!!

What are Summer Fair tokens?
Each paper token is worth 50p and will be used as Fox Summer Fair currency.
Most stalls will be accepting ONLY TOKENS INSTEAD OF CASH.
We will also accept credit card payments this year!

Why?
There are a few reasons…
1) Parent helpers won’t have to worry about looking after a float on a stall.
2) Tokens are a fun way for children to get involved with the Fair.
3) It will be easier for parents to control how much their children spend.
4) There will be less cash overall on the school premises for us to be responsible for.
5) It takes a really, really long time to count up all the change at the end of each fair!

Can I only use tokens at the Fair?
No.
The Entrance, Raffle, Auction and food/beverage stalls will accept cash as well as tokens.

Where can I buy tokens?
Pre-order your tokens on-line and receive a 20% pre-fair discount!
At the fair, £20 will get you 40 tokens worth 50p each.
If you pre-pay, £20 will get you 50 tokens (£25 value).
Prepaid tokens can be picked up in the office or at the fair.
Tokens can also be purchased in the office at the same discount.

Click here to buy tokens                                   Tokens are non-refundable.

Congratulations to Jenny Hewlett -- the lucky winner of the Justin Bieber tickets for Sunday's Concert in Hyde Park. This one-off raffle raised £1550, which will be added to the proceeds raised by the Toy Stall at the Summer Fair, and donated to benefit those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire. Thank you to all those who participated and congratulations to our lucky winner!
