Southern Gateway regeneration – business views needed

Your views are needed on a major regeneration project in Chichester which will bring more business space to the city and boost the local economy.

We are currently consulting on a masterplan to transform the south eastern area of Chichester, also known as the Southern Gateway. The area takes in buildings such as the law courts, the Royal Mail site, the bus station and depot and other government buildings.It will...

  • deliver new homes, business space, leisure and tourism facilities
  • improve transport links with more emphasis on cycling, walking and public transport
  • improve the look of this part of the city centre

The consultation is open to you to comment on until 10 August on the Current Consultations page of our website.
There will also be public events where you can view the masterplan:

  • 8th Chichester Scout Hall, Canal Field (Chichester High School) 28 July 14.00-20.00
  • 5th Chichester Scout Hall, Whyke Road, 28 July 14.00-20.00


Coast 2 Capital funding

To support rural businesses to grow, bids are now open for £3.25 million European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development funding for:

  • food processing
  • tourism infrastructure
  • rural business development in the Coast to Capital area
