                   It's Always Summer...

...somewhere on this beautiful planet of ours. Recently, Travel Purist covered two vibrant summer festivals - a pagan festival in Granada, Spain, and the midsummer night celebration in Ventspils, Latvia.

In India, we may have left summer behind but we got a photo feature by wildlife photographer Arun Ahuja just before the national parks closed for the monsoon. We also bring you a list of travellers who've brought sunshine to the destinations they've visited by inspiring change.

And while it's winter in Australia right now, writer and academic Sharon Rundle gives us a lowdown on where to follow a convict trail and watch Aboriginal cultural celebrations.

CELEBRATING THE BALTIC SUMMER
The tiny Baltic nation of Latvia celebrates midsummer or the summer solstice – the day when it is officially summer – with made-up rhymes, beer, flowers and naked runs. See the Ligo celebrations in the town of Ventspils, here.
