FLORISTRY WORKSHOPS

Join us for our creative and fun floristry workshops. Each class focuses on particular floristry techniques, with topics including flower crowns, cake flowers, bouquets, arrangements and even DIY weddings! FLOWER CROWN WORKSHOP

Join us for our flower crown workshop on 29 July. In this 90 minute session, we will show you how to make your own flower crown to take home, along the way learning floristry techniques such as wiring and taping and more about the flowers you are working with. This class is ideal for beginners, or someone with a little experience to pick up some new skills.

WHAT'S IN STORE

Bright blooms like sunflowers have been popular this week, Fiery-toned pincushions (leucospermums) are coming back into season, and cool climate freesias and poppies will fill a small space with colour. Included in a workshop event with Northside Flower Market are all the tools you’ll need, tables full of beautiful flowers to include in your creation, years of experience from our talented florists, and your finished flower crown to take home. Optional extras include colour themed balloon clusters, one on one florist assistance, and a photographer to capture all of the moments, as well as your finished product and a few group photos.

AUSTRALIAN FLOWER FESTIVAL

Northside Flower Market is a proud supporter of the inaugural Australian Flower Festival, which will be held at Southbank TAFE on Monday 18th September to coincide with Australian Flowers Week (16-24 September). The event combines trade and public activities, including a floristry competition and demonstration areas.

TAFE will also be displaying to provide information to budding florists about qualification options and those in the industry looking to increase their level of qualifications.

The event will run from 8:00am to 5:00pm with speakers, demonstrations, trade displays and competitions. For further information click here.
