Register for Tryouts and the League Evaluation Skate

It's time to register for the 2017-2018 Rep team tryouts and the WWFHL evaluation skate.

WWFHA Open Skate & Open House

Join us Saturday July 29th 1:30pm – 5:00pm at Highland Ice Arena for three hours of free open ice for any age-specific female-player with a USA Hockey number.
 
The general open house is for anyone interested in learning more about WWFHA, Washington Wild teams, and the up-coming season. Board members, coaches, and other directors and leadership will be on-hand to answer questions throughout the session.
  • 1:30 - 2:30pm – 8U Open Skate
  • 2:45 - 3:45pm – 10U Open Skate
  • 4:00 - 5:00pm – 11 and older Open Skate
Mark your calendar for July 29th and join us! Older players can feel free to help the younger groups during their sessions. Only requirement is a valid USA Hockey number.

Female Floorball Prospect & Development Camp -- Great Cross-Training and US National Team Potential
All female players interested in representing the USA Women’s and U19 National Floorball teams are encouraged to attend the Female Floorball Prospect & Development Camp, August 13, 2017 at the Terrace Park School – 5409 228th St. SW in Mountlake Terrace, WA.
 
The United States Floorball Association is looking for female floorball players to join the U19 and Adult US Female National Teams in preparation for the 2018 World Floorball Championships, May 2 – 6, 2018 in Herisau & St. Gallen, Switzerland.
 

No experience necessary, just athletic skill. Equipment will be provided if needed and the event is free.
 
The schedule is:
  • Women’s session: 3:00pm – 4:00pm
  • U19 session (1999 and 2002), 4:00pm – 5:00pm

College Hockey & Scholarship Opportunities Report

Check out the data for the ScholarshipStats.com 2016 survey of NCAA DI schools that sponsored varsity hockey teams during their 2015-16 fiscal years.  The results reflect the average number of athletic scholarships and the average award by responding schools, as well as the low and high range for the number and average amount of scholarships awarded per team for men and women.
 
The page also goes into odds of playing college hockey, scholarship averages as of 2016, NCAA DI hockey player demographics (2016-17), home states of players (2016-17), team experience prior to college, and quick stats on US colleges that sponsor varsity hockey teams (as of 2015).

19U REP AA TEAM

At Highland:
- Saturdays Aug. 12, 19, 26 – Large Ice
-- 1:30pm – 2:30pm
- Sundays Aug. 13, 20, 27 – Small Ice
-- 11:30am – 12:30pm

At Xfinity Arena
- Wednesday Aug. 16, 23, 24
-- 6:30pm - 7:30pm 

14U REP AA TEAM
At Highland Ice Arena:
  • Saturdays Aug. 12, 19, 26 – Large Ice
    • 2:45pm – 3:45pm
  • Sundays Aug. 13, 20, 27 – Small Ice
    • 10:15am – 11:15am
At Xfinity Arena
  • Wednesday Aug. 16, 23, 24

12U REP AA TEAM

Starting in September.... WWFHA Rep teams at the 19UAA, 19UA, 14UAA, 12UAA levels play in PCAHA. The teams’ practice schedules, game home sheets, and WWFHA Dues are posted on the website in each teams’ section, with basic details on the flyer above. Xfinity Arena practice days and times will be added as soon as Spectrum Sports allocates their ice. Team Fund amounts will be announced in the coming months.

Seattle Wild Beantown Schedule

All Hockey Academy entered 15U and 19U teams into the Beantown Classic Tournament at the end of July, which include Washington Wild players and other players from various US states and Canadian provinces.
 
Seattle 15U AAA Schedule:
- 28-Jul 12:00 PM vs. NY Metros        
- 28-Jul 5:20 PM vs. Spitfires 16U
- 29-Jul 9:20 AM vs. CT North. U16

The 15U format for the White Division includes 8 teams in 2 pools; 3 game round robin; fourth game is a cross-over elimination game; winners of cross-over game advance to the semi-finals.
                                       
Seattle Wild 19U Schedule:                          
- 27-Jul 9:00 PM  vs. TC Galaxy One 
- 28-Jul 4:00 PM  vs. CT North Lights U19
- 28-Jul 9:20 PM  vs. Bethlehem Eagles

The 19U format for the Future Blue Division include 32 teams in 4 pools; 3 game round robin; top 4 teams in each pool advance to A-Round of 16; Team 5-8 in each pool advance to B-Round of 16.

Shoot & Score Challenge Photos!


Send in your photos! If you are participating in the Challenge, please send your photos to info@wwfha.com


If you haven't joined yet - there is still time! This challenge helps inspire players to improve on their shot or goalie defending skills by working on the specific skills during the summer months.

College coaches look for players who shoot and score (or stop shots) with accuracy and consistency.

PLAYER GOALS
  • 19U Rep AA and A, and 14U Rep AA: 1500 shots per month; 4,500 in 3 months
  • 14U & 12U Rep AA, and 12U/14U players: 750 shots per month; 2,250 in 3 months
  • 10U, 8U and 6U players: 250 shots per month; 750 in 3 months
AWARDS OF THE WASHINGTON WILD SHOOT AND SCORE CLUB CHALLENGE
  • Monthly Club Award – Reach the designated amount of shots for your age/team in a 1 month time period to receive a Monthly Award. You can receive 1 award per month between June 1 and August 31!
  • Grand Prize Club Award – Reach the designated number of shots in 3 months for your age/team between June 1 and August 31 to receive the grand award!
RULES OF THE CHALLENGE
  • Track your shots and have your parents initial each day you shoot pucks – on or off ice.
  • Keep your logs and return the completed sheets to WWFHA by August 31, 2016.
  • Awards and Prizes will be presented at the Washington Wild Season Kick-Off Event!
