I wanted to share an approaching deadline with you.

WRITE YOUR CREEPY NOVEL IN A CABIN AT HIGHLIGHTS WITH US: The deadline to apply for the 2017 Books with Bite Workshop & Retreat: Writing Horror and Haunted Novels is August 1! This workshop is co-led by Micol Ostow and me at the Highlights Foundation in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. This year it will be held October 4–8. This is a workshop-retreat for YA or middle-grade writers working on creepy, twisty, or otherwise disturbing and unsettling novels (horror! ghost stories! psychological thrillers! Gothic tales! dark magical realism! twisty mysteries! the occult! you name it, we are flexible!), and this will be our third year.

This year we have an application deadline of August 1, and we will notify accepted applicants soon after. If you'd like to join us, apply soon!
