My Informal Logic and Economics classes

This past spring I launched my upcoming Informal Logic and Economics classes through Empower Leaders. Their leadership team, camps, mission trips, and mentoring is top notch… but some of their tech choices weren’t the best fit for my classes. You all knew that right away, and my enrollment numbers have reflected that : (

1. We need to make good choices about using all of our scarce resources. Not just money!
2. We need to balance the issues of cost vs value that both consumers and producers face daily.
3. It’s important that we ask great questions... and then reason wisely with available data.

It's important to study Informal Logic!
1. When you understand the difference between an argument and a quarrel it’s easier to play nice.
2. When you back up your opinion with good reasoning, you’re more likely to get to borrow the car.
3. From advertising to internet “arguments" to predators, it’s important to recognize manipulation.

If you’re already enrolled through Empower Leaders, please don’t panic : ) We’ll be working with you (and Leslee) to make this transition as painless as possible. You can:
1. Receive a full refund and make another choice… no hard feelings
2. Receive a full refund and sign your student up with me at My Fun Science — we’ll match the price you originally paid at Empower!
3. We’re working on the possibility of Empower simply sending your refund directly to My Fun Science. Then we’ll port your information over into PowerSchool; no need to re-register! More info to come : )

Are your classes a "go"?

As many of you know, I like to plan ahead… and school starts in just one month! All of my classes are a “go” - minimums have been exceeded and PowerSchool classes will be activated early next week. If your students are signed up for math classes at another online school, and if those classes are cancelled due to low enrollment, please consider joining us at My Fun Science. I don’t have details, but I’m pretty sure we’ll be “price matching” so that you don’t get burned in a last-minute-scramble : )
