Comedy Crowders,

We can now reveal the winning Chorts video from the 2 minute teasers screened last week. You can watch them for yourself and see if you agree with the audience vote.
Plus this week - opportunities to try out your comedy, treatments and pitches explained, and a call for website developers to work at The Comedy Crowd. It's all here just waiting to be read. Lets go.
Chorts Live!
Last Thursday we hosted Chorts Live! featuring 13 shortlisted teaser videos and some brilliant live performances from previous winning Chorts.
The top 3 Chorts videos as chosen by the audience on the night were:
1. Anne Crowther - by Christiana Brockbank
2. Detective Nutbreeze - by Victor Hampson
3. Anna and Max: The Pollsters - by Anna Piper and Max Levine
The standard of entries was fantastic and we were delighted that all of the shortlisted videos were so well received. It was inspiring to see so many talented comedy creators in one place.

You can watch Anne Crowther analysing her toilet roles, Detective Nutbreeze being bizarre, and Anna and Max being completely useless, along with all the other shortlisted videos here:

Capture your creative ideas
Last week we featured an article about how deliberately taking time off stimulates creative thinking. This week we have an excellent short piece on capturing those creative ideas.
As a comedian, it's about taking note of those funny observations and characters that we encounter everyday, so we have a bank of material to call on when sitting down to do the writing. Don't waste the precious moments of inspiration, no matter when they arrive.
