Seeds of Learning is incredibly grateful to the members of the National Honors Society at Sunset High School in Portland, OR. Throughout the 2016-2017 school year, club members worked together to raise $3,500 for our Reading Campaign in Nicaragua. 2017 Construction Project Progress

Throughout the year we have partnered with eight different communities to build improved classrooms and learning centers in Nicaragua. We have also hosted over 400 international volunteers this year, who have worked on the construction alongside community members. Featured: Wildlife From Nicaragua

Photographer and longtime volunteer and supporter Hughes Goodwin has made a lifetime pledge to support SOL’s work. He work has taken him all around the world, and he has photographed everything from glaciers in Alaska to wild jaguars in the jungle. One of his recent trips was to Nicaragua, where he captured some exquisite shots of wildlife. He offers eight of those pictures here as greeting cards, the profits from which will continue to support SOL’s work.

Sept 6th: Preview Performance of the musical Chicago:
Seeds of Learning has bought out the house for a dress rehearsal of the classic musical Chicago. This private preview performance is presented by Lucky Penny Productions in Napa. All ticket sale proceeds will help build a new school with the people of the community of El Chaguite, Nicaragua.
Date: Wednesday, September 6th
Time: Doors open at 6:15 pm; show begins at 7:00 pm

Oct 21: Annual Dinner and Auction
We hope that you can join us at our Annual Dinner and Auction. Together we will celebrate the work we do both here and abroad! The evening will include a three course gourmet meal and open wine bar, a silent auction, and games. During the inspiring program you will hear from local students about the impact of cross-cultural education in their lives, and from community members in Nicaragua about how a school has transformed their community.

Time: 5:00 - 8:00 pm
Place: Hanna Boys Center (1700 Arnold Drive, Sonoma, CA).
