Newsletter

Welcome to the August newsletter.
Apologies that the monthly newsletter has turned into quarterly newsletter as I have had a busy few months.
If you've got a project for me be sure to get in touch as soon as possible so you are not disappointed.
Have a read on and see what I've been up to recently, and see if it inspires you to get something framed for good.

 Exclusive offer

Free stretching for cross-stitch / tapestry
During the month of August if you bring in a cross-stitch or tapestry to be framed I will stretch it for free.
This will save you around £5 to £20 depending on the size of the picture.
All frames are handmade in the workshop in Stonehouse to your exact specifications.
Offer only available to newsletter subscribers so feel free to forward this to someone who might be interested.

 Previous work:

A selection of frames completed during the last few months.
Personalised Print
This customer brought in a print they had commissioned that had song titles that meant a lot to them as a couple.
As there isn't much colour on the cassette tapes we agreed to include a bright flash of red undermount and a bright silver frame to finish it off.
I recommended clearview glass not only to delay fading but so that as people come close to the frame to read the song titles they are not faced with off-putting reflections.
Golf Flag
The customer brought in these signed golf flags along with a frame and asked if I could do something similar.

Although hard to see in the photograph there is actually a triple mount and a spacer underneath so the glass is not resting on the flag.
The flag is floating on the mountboard so the edges are not covered, so I used hidden clothes tags to achieve this.
The customer chose to get an engraved plaque to complete the frame.
I'm sure you'll agree this is a great keepsake and has now been preserved so it can be displayed for many years to come.

Ceramic Tile
I was asked to frame this hand painted ceramic tile, and to have it floating in the middle of the frame.

The tile is fixed on using tile adhesive (what else!) and there is a small black frame inside to stop the glass resting against the painted surface.
A chunky metallic frame was used to highlight the colours of the tile.
