Physics Advocacy in Action

The Division of Nuclear Physics (DNP) and the Division of Particles and Fields (DPF) worked with the APS Office of Public Affairs (OPA) to send unit-specific emails asking members of Congress to reject the White House’s proposed budget cuts to the science agencies.

These messages were tailored for each unit to show the potential impact of the cuts, and allowed APS members to personalize them if they chose to do so.

The nationwide campaign was far-reaching, as shown in the maps below, and many APS members made their voices heard.

If you would like to work with OPA for your own unit-specific campaign, please contact your unit leadership and Greg Mack (mack@aps.org)
