Asandra August 2017 Newsletter View this email in your browser ASANDRA NEWSLETTER WHY OUR CHALLENGES ARE IMPORTANT   It is a common belief that what challenges us in life is in the way of fulfilling our destiny. We get frustrated and believe it is a roadblock to what we want to create in life. Furthermore, Law of Attraction principles tell us to keep visualizing and acting on our dreams. Yet we cannot overlook the importance of what sometimes feels like a block to our fulfillment. Spirit advises us that whatever appears to be an obstacle on the path is actually the gateway through to the other side. Illness, money, relationship issues, life-purpose questions, etc, are something we all face. No one is exempt; it is part of the human experience. Furthermore, we each have a particular issue that will surface throughout our lives, reinventing the manifestation of its energy-form. In other words, the outward appearance of the challenge may change, but it is most likely the same issue in disguise. The life-challenges we each face were set up as part of our pre-birth soul-agreement . This is not for the purpose of suffering or struggle; rather it is so that we can grow as beings. It is also why Spirit says, “no victim, no blame”. If, for example, we feel that we have been denied something in life, we become victims and never heal the disconnection from our Source. For me, art-making (and all that goes along with it career-wise: marketing, exhibiting, selling, etc.) has been my primary earthly desire. I didn’t struggle in leaving behind my prestigious Art Director position to be a Medium. I didn’t struggle to get my book, Contact Your Spirit Guides (Schiffer Publishing Ltd.), published. These things have come about with a relative ease of effort. At the same time, despite decades of artistic success, it has often felt like a struggle. I always have to work on that part of my consciousness to resolve every unhealed wound that surfaces as a result. Knowing this makes it just a little easier to find the way through. Our job as humans is to keep moving forward toward the fulfillment of our visions and dreams. We may harbor deep-rooted resentments, doubts, fears, or unresolved sorrow. If the challenges didn’t appear on the path, however, we could never identify the areas where the soul is seeking to heal.  To embrace our trials, therefore, eases the way by alleviating any unconscious resistance we may have. Then it is simply walking the path, one small step at a time, dissolving what ails us along the way. Deep acceptance of what is becomes the mantra of our lives. If we feel a sense of urgency or longing, for something and find that thing (circumstance, experience, relationship, etc) to always be just beyond our grasp, then it is a sure sign of something we need to heal. This is the set up, of course.
