Have you ever thought about how much of an impact you make on those around you? How about how much of an impact someone else has had on you?

We generally go through life not realizing that our actions, conscious or subconscious, can severely impact how others act. With this in mind, think about what you do in your daily life that can create a better space for everyone else. Whether its the fact that you eat healthy, drink water instead of soda, exercise daily, always greet people with a compliment, or just take time to actually listen to someone, those habits can run off on people. Recently I read a book called, Workplace Wellness That Works by Laura Putnam, where she calls out for people to start becoming an agent of change. I think it's a great way to look at how what you do, small or large, can help create change in others. 

This being said, lets all work as individuals and as a group to start becoming agents of change.
Chase The Lights is here again!

This Saturday, August 5th, is another running of the Chase the Lights race ending at Standard Deviant Brewing!

Think of a 4+ mile run with beer, food and and fun at the end.  The only catch is you have to follow the lights.

1) Green lights you go straight
2) Red lights you turn left or right
3) Stop signs you can go any direction
4) NO STOPPING TO WAIT

There are some great raffle prizes including a pair of Asics shoes, a lululemon black card, ARM gift cards, and a 10-class pack to Revision Athletics classes.

EXERCISE OF THE MONTH
Lunge To Deadlift

Strengthen your glutes, hamstrings, quads, and core with this combo move. Great for runners and athletes who are looking to work on their backside and balance.

Start standing and lunge back with your left leg. Keep your torso upright and make sure both knees are at 90 degrees. 

Return to standing lifting your left knee in the air.

Hinge from the waist bringing your left hand down towards your right foot. Keep your back neutral and hips level to the ground.

Return to standing with the knee in the air and repeat. Do 10-15 reps on your left leg then switch to your right. For an extra challenge hold a weight on the side of the leg that's moving or in both hands.
