Jay (Niroshan) is a Sri Lankan refugee married to Fausi, another Sri Lankan refugee, now with a little boy-- they're my friends; some of you helped him when he lost his job at a store last December; anyways, he just got a job with a Canadian NGO and his first project is to help raise awareness and funds for some of the children who have an opportunity to study in English, their educational language. Statistically, most of them will probably not be able to leave Thailand and settle in a safe country; so NGOs try to help with their current needs while they're here, which includes basic education. Please let me know if you (and your friends or small group) can help sponsor a child or two for one academic year.

My friend is raising funds for 18 refugee students, ranging from age 4 - age 15:
1) We need almost $1,000 per year to sponsor one student; $100, one time cost for uniform, books, etc; $90, monthly cost for school bus, etc, for ten months.
2) Tuition fees have been waived by the school (very nice).
3) 3 of 18 students sponsored as of today, but we need 15 more sponsors.

I have talked to J'square international school for the refugee children's education, The school is happy to welcome the children. At the moment we have 16 children from 4 years to 13 years old. I am looking for sponsor to help these children, I have sponsor for 2 children already we need more sponsors for 14 children,
Payment Details:
uniform 1500 once a year
books 1500 once a year
note book 150 once a year
school fee every month:
grade 1-3 2000 baht
grade 4-6 2500 baht
grade 7-9 3000 baht
I am kindly requesting to help out these children for their education, This is the biggest fear of all the refugee's parents.
the children are depression of the situation in Thailand. going to school and learning will make the kids out of their dark life.
