More IFB/IEM's in Rentals

Productions keep demanding more IFB equipment so we've boosted the stock with the addition of several Sennheiser IEM300 receivers in the B band.
The transmitters can either be mains powered 2-channel or portable body pack single channel. Other brand transmitters can emulate the Sennheiser transmitters too so we are able to boost our stock of usable receivers by adding the IEM300s

Now in stock at Sound Techniques, the Hide-a-mic for COS11 is a new and innovative tool especially designed to easily hide a Sanken COS11 lavalier microphone under any piece of clothing. The set contains 4 different holders each with its own application. Unlike conventional microphone holders, Hide-a-mic holders are very easy to apply. You just pick the right holder, put in place and you are ready to roll. There 4 different holders in a set.
Bra-holder
The bra is generally a good place to hide a microphone, but it's always a hassle to place it. Just give the mic in the holder to the talent and the wearer can apply it easily without damaging the bra.
Shirt-holder
This holder is placed just above the button under a shirt. With the special design and strain relief the mic will stay in its place and the sound will be perfect.
Tie-holder
The Tie-holder is the original Hide-a-mic. After watching the hit series 'Suits' the designer thought a special tool to hide microphones in the knot of a tie could be very useful. You run the microphone from the back of the tie down through the knot. Then apply the holder and push it back in the knot easily and neatly.
T-shirt-holder
This is the most versatile of them all. The very small design that can be placed behind a seam of a t-shirt It is also usable as a small Tie-holder, in a scarf, with a Stickie in a coat, etc, etc. You can even put it in a small windjammer to protect it against wind. The T-shirt-holder is easy to apply and delivers good sound quality.
The Hide-a-Mic is designed and developed by Eric Leek, a Dutch sound engineer with 20 years of experience in field recording. After years of hiding microphones for series, feature film and numerous documentaries he got the idea for this handy set. So Hide-a-mic is made for sound engineers by sound engineers.
Have a talk with us about ways of applying lapel mics at the Pro Audio Showcase.

606-622 MHz now in use (part of Lectrosonics Block 23, 24)

The frequencies between 606 MHz and 622 MHz, for many years a usable block of spectrum for radio microphones, though officially out of bounds since March 2015, is now in active use in Auckland. Management rights (MR 369 – Te Pūtahi Paoho) were conferred for Maori language purposes under Maori Television Service (Te Aratuku Whakaata Irirangi Maori) Act 2003 and are now being used.
Radio microphone users are advised to avoid the block of spectrum to minimise the risk of interference from Digital Terrestrial Television and to ensure compliance with the regulations.

We encourage you to "try before you buy"

Rent a piece of equipment and buy your own within 2 weeks of the rental. Sound Techniques will rebate 1 week's rental towards the cost of the same equipment.

...and when you need help with the funds

FlexiRent will finance new kit for you over 12-48 month periods.
When the big job comes in and you need new gear but are strapped for cash, Sound Techniques can organise finance through a FlexiRent Operating Lease or Lease to Own plan. With an operating lease all payments are fully tax deductible and you can replace the gear after 3 years. With Lease to Own you pay the GST as a deposit then monthly payments until the equipment is paid off.
