Join us in Support of the Sturgeon Point Union Church's Annual Food Drive

SLSC Sailors, and others, will be distributing bags to the community this weekend, to facilitate the village church's annual food drive in support of the Salvation Army Food Bank. See the notice below for further details. We encourage you to support this initiative however you are able.

In Support of the Salvation Army Food Bank

Volunteers from the Sturgeon Point Union Church and the Sturgeon Lake Sailing Club are collecting non perishable food items for the Salvation Army Food Bank and will be dropping off empty grocery bags at your home or cottage on Civic Weekend.

Kindly fill up the bag with non perishable items in support of this year’s Food Drive.

The Salvation Army appreciates all donations but items in shortest supply typically include;

Chicken noodle soup, rice, canned fruit, jam, peanut butter, coffee (ground & instant) and tea!

Drop off Locations:
Sunday August 6: Sturgeon Point Union Church Service
Monday August 7: Civic Weekend Running Races-Swannanoa

Donations are also gratefully accepted with cheques made out to:
