The Family Advocacy and Support Service (FASS) provides legal assistance and/or social support services to families affected by family violence in the family law courts.

The social support services are available to all people affected by family violence. This includes people represented by a panel, community legal centre, private or Legal Aid NSW lawyer, as well as people who are self-represented.

A Good Practice Guide is now available (to be officially launched by Legal Aid in November) for Independent Children's Lawyers.
A summary Aide-Memoire has also been developed. See the Legal Aid website for more details.
