Dear <<First Name>>
In preparation for the start of the season we are having a working bee on the weekend of the 5 and 6 August. The list of maintenance and repairs items is quite extensive and we would appreciate any assistance.

If you have any battery operated drills etc please bring them to the working bee.

We have a job for every skill level so join us at the Club between 8:30am and 4:00pm on either Saturday or Sunday for just a few hours of the day and you will be helping get the Club ready for a great season.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided on both days.

If you have any queries please contact John Hayward 0408 165 541.
Solar Power
The Club now has solar panels on the roof and we are generating green power to keep the Club’s appliances running thanks to a Sustainability Grant from Lane Cove Council and a lot of research and negotiating by our Club Captain, John Hayward (or as it had on the worksheet John Howard).
Register now.
First Aid Course - Extra Dates
We were overwhelmed with members wanting to do the First Aid Course on Sunday 27 August 2017 so we have now arranged for a second course on Sunday 24 September 2017. This is the first weekend of the school holidays.

The August course is almost full, so if this is the only day you can do it we will try to squeeze you in otherwise we still have plenty of spots in the September course.

There is no minimum or maximum age, however to obtain your certificate you must be able to comprehend the principles and be sufficiently strong and fit enough to complete 2 minutes of CPR kneeling on the floor.

Provider: Medilife
When: Sunday 27 August, 9am to 5pm.
Where: At the Club
Cost: $120
Course Details:     HLTAID003 Provide First Aid - Fastrack / Refresher. This includes three units:
  • Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • Provide Emergency Life Support
  • Provide First Aid
On successful completion you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for these units, the First Aid is valid for 3 years.

Apart from making your club a safer environment for everyone, why should you do the course?
  • The course complies with most workplace requirements for first aid
  • If you wish to become an Australian Sailing Dinghy Instructor you will need this or a similar course
  • It may one day save your life or the life of a loved one/mate

Space is limited so don’t miss out, send an email to
