Looking for somewhere to ride?

Have you seen our recent Facebook posts highlighting the Places to Ride section on our website? We've been hard at work on this section and are excited to share these sweet rides. These are routes that we have personally ridden and organized for every kind of bike rider in the family.
At Vermont Bicycle Shop we strive to promote paths to happiness and health thru bicycles and cycling. I've lived many places where the knowledge about places to ride and routes would often come with a "local's only" caveat. I love that in Vermont this is not the case. I love that in Vermont we share the land. From VAST to the class 4 roads that people call home Vermonters always have a friendly wave to us when we ride by. Vermont is truly wondrous and ripe for adventure. Check out some of the rides below and more on our website.

Annual Groton Bike Camping Trip

We love riding and exploring Vermont. Our favorite place among others to explore are the spaces between Barre, Plainfield, and Groton. Each year over Labor Day weekend we host a beginner friendly overnight bike camping trip to the Groton State Forest.
Last year we rode to the Plainfield Park and Ride and joined with friends (who wanted to keep the ride shorter) and took the rail trail from Plainfield through Marshfield and out to Osmore Pond. This year will be similar to that ride with slight variation in destination and some small logistics. Did we also mention that the camp site fees are covered by Vermont Bicycle Shop?
You can check out the details and reserve a spot on our website here.
