Summer Service Schedule
Over the summer our Sunday services will be at 10 a.m. Due to the ongoing renovations, services will be in Campbell Hall today and next week, August 6.  On September 17 we go back to two Sunday services at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

From Bob and Heather Hill
Thank you for all your support and prayers for us over the past months. It has been such an encouragement to know that so many of you have been praying for us day by day. Also, a special thank you to all of you who have provided meals for us. It has been so helpful when Heather has been dealing with the side effects of the treatments. Bob and Heather Hill

Sanctuary Restoration
The sanctuary restoration is scheduled for completion on Tuesday, August 8. Reinstalling of the pews in the sanctuary will commence Wednesday, August 9. For questions please contact Ed Rourke at 613 829 3001 or eandmrourke@sympatico.ca

From the Hertwig-Jaksch Family
As many of you may have heard, our family will be moving to Virginia Beach on August 3rd for a 2-year work placement with the US military.  We want to express our gratitude and appreciation to the St. Paul's family for the many ways you have shown Christ's love to us over the past 6 years we have attended St Paul's.  It is hard to leave so many good friends and the safety net of our church family.  We ask for your prayers during the adjustment to a new city, new jobs and new schools.  We hope and pray that it is God's will that we return to you in the summer of 2019!  John, Sara, Sophia, Elise and Markus.

Summer Refreshments
Help is needed in the kitchen over the summer months to serve refreshments after the worship service. Cookies (homemade or bought) are needed; juice is supplied. Please see the sign-up sheet in the Resource Room. If you have questions please contact Eleanor Hastings at 613-225-4574.

Hospitality Coordinator Retirement
After many years of faithful service to St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church our Hospitality Coordinator Eleanor Hastings is retiring. An occasion to celebrate her contributions to St. Paul’s and to thank her appropriately is planned and a date will be announced as soon as possible.  To ensure a smooth transition of all work done in the kitchen and in hosting groups that use our building, we are asking anyone who feels that they are gifted for and called to this task to step forward.  Please call the office at 613 729-3384.

Next Book Club Meeting - August 14
At the Book Circle in August, we will be discussing the book “One minute after you die” by Erwin Lutzer. One minute after you die, you will either be enjoying a personal welcome from Christ or catching your first glimpse of gloom as you have never known it. Either way, your future will be irrevocably fixed and eternally unchangeable. Have we got your attention yet??? We will be meeting Aug.14th at 7 p.m. in the Fireside Room. If we are able to make plans we will be showing excerpts from the DVD by the same name as part of our evening. For further info please contact Carol Rourke at lovemyptcruiser@rogers.com

Interesting facts on “For the Cause”
The new missionary hymn “For the Cause” written by Keith and Kristyn Getty, that we sang on June 25th, was also sung that day by almost 600,000 believers representing 57 countries! Over 25 distinct language groups were represented, as were over 30,000 children.  To watch a composite video of churches worldwide singing this hymn go to:

Office Administrator on Vacation
Our Office Administrator, Tabea Silverthorne, will be on vacation from August 7-18. If you have anything that needs to be brought to her attention immediately, please do so this week.  After she returns on August 21 all contributions to the 2016-2017 Ministry Reports need to be in and you should also make sure that any rooms your group needs are booked by the beginning of September.
Our summer students, Kyra Jonker and Deborah Akurang will fill in for her answering your phone calls and directing visitors. Please make them feel welcome!

St. Paul's is pleased to be able to provide space for a number of recovery groups that meet each week.
