God's powerful glory, the supernatural and a life in the midst of acceleration has been our lives the past two months. Enjoy reading what you are part of and have helped to make happen. Enjoy!
"I lift up my eyes to you God.  You are sitting in heaven."  Psalm 123:1

Dear Valued  Family & Friends....
HAPPY NEW YEAR!  In August you ask?  Yes, in August for those of us at Afrika Wa Yesu.  July is a month of many new beginnings, new launchings, new visions, new energy, new understanding and revelation….NEW!  This year our AWYesu Team conference was in Inhaminga.  Peace in the nation, however unstable it may still be, is a miracle we are all enjoying.  Even during the war in Central Mozambique, Afrika Wa Yesu residing in Inhaminga was on the move to help the people during famine in that region and to bring love, hope and a supernatural peace to those literally on the run from the horrors of conflict.  In the north, one would have never have thought there was a war unless you kept an ear to truthful news, in touch with those residing in those zones and on standby to pray at a moment’s notice. We give God all the glory for His love for Mozambique!
Afrika Wa Yesu Comando Base was buzzing with AWYesu Team and Family, Leaders, Guests and Children.  It was a full house!! We had all arrived to connect with one another through board meetings (these are never boring), Inhaminga Bible School Graduation, Children's Conference and to feast on the Word given by Ellie Hein and  Guest Speaker Apostle Shammah of South Africa.  All was planned well in advance, but one afternoon we quickly learned from Ellie how to handle disappointments prior to announcing to more than 100 people that Apostle Shammah would not be coming due to unforeseen circumstances. There were a few gasps, but on the whole we all received the news with courage, looked ahead and prayed for the Apostle.  Ellie imparted not only about “Disappointment”, but “Character” and “Maturity”.  Maturity is revealed through our character especially when under pressure.  We ourselves admitted that there are times when you ‘react’ and you think, “Gosh, where did that  reaction come from.” At that moment, deal with it and expand your maturity.
Then, came the next announcement…”Apostle Shammah will arrive tomorrow!”  Cheers, dances, drums and joy resounded from the Conference Centre.  The lesson? Never be disappointed and let your spirit of joy disappear and start complaining.  God has it all taken care of and His best will come.  Rodney Hein once again jumped into his Toyota to gather Apostle Shammah only this time for sure he would bring him from the Beira airport.  This is not just a quick drive on toll roads, it is a 6-8 hour drive over roads better described as a watery 4X4 sand track in most places.
This year’s conference beginning with Ellie’s teachings was preparation for the End Times.  If you are aware at all of what is happening in the world, you will agree, the times we are living in now are preparation for our eternal future with Jesus.  There is an “Acceleration” (another teaching) that is upon us all.  People, Muslims, are receiving Jesus and there have been an abundance of supernatural healings.  Not just headaches, but the blind are seeing and the deaf are hearing worldwide. There are new songs being sung in worship…not just scripture to music, but songs the Holy Spirit is inspiring. Ellie taught that the enemy knows all the old songs, but he doesn’t know the new songs!  What a key!!!   Jesus is coming for His End Time Mature church worshiping as True Worshipers singing heavenly songs!  Let’s get ready!
Apostle Shammah taught many points one of them being, that when man fell the mind of man became corrupted and our biggest enemy is ignorance (to the Truth). What you conceive in your mind, you have.  Let’s align our thinking with God’s Word, not through human reasoning.  At that point, we will see the impossible as possible. He even took time to pray for all the in the Children's Conference, "Light of the Word", attended by 22 children of the Afrika Wa Yesu team.  They are the next generation being trained young so they will depart from the Truth as they grow.   Pastor Mariano imparted Hebrews 1:3 – “We are the express image of His person.” We are being transformed supernaturally, we carry the supernatural, and we walk in the supernatural.  Yes we do!  We are eternal citizens of heaven, not of the world, living in His Kingdom here on earth.
So much has happened friends and so much has been planned.  When we are with you in Australia and  the United States, we are coming to be a part of this great movement with each of you.  It is exciting and gives you renewed life.  It’s a New Year!
We are so very grateful for each one of you friends and family!  We’ve longed to be with you face to face to hear your testimonies and to share His joy together.  A cup of coffee, lunch, a hike, paddle boarding, a sail…whatever. Let’s get together and celebrate Him and He has done.

God's Abundant Blessings!
See you soon!!

"A family that plays together, stays together".  Afrika Wa Yesu Family time as a team, is the best!!  We all loaded up into the DAF, Big Foot and we were off to see animals and sing along the way.  Yep...no animals. Too much joy in the cargo. This DAF holds fond memories for Jeff & Nicky as in 1998 it was our carriage to adventure, evangelism and finding the place of our calling.  Thank You REZ for 'that' life changing mission trip.
Apostle Shammah was invited to the children's conference on his way to the leader's / team / graduates conference one morning to pray over the children.  The children sang for him, then Apostle Shammah shared and prayed over them.  AWYesu's next supernatural generation in the making!
AWYesu Families enjoyed a classy bush experience at Mphingwe Camp Catapu two hours from Inhaminga. Soda drinks, game drive, meals, singing, enjoying one another, meeting up with long time friends and rest was the schedule for the day.   In the middle of a beautiful forest, outstanding food and friendly owners await you.
From left to right down the page. Meet Samuel ... his tongue was fishing for the soda.  Meet Paulo and Tina, parents of Samuel and work at Casa de Esperanca.  2nd row - Prof. Lucas, Jansen Cunha on the guitar Gustavo our new Dentist, Prof. Santos and Ps. Vina. Bruna and Lias wife and daughter of Gustavo. She teaches in Casa de Esperanca. 3rd Row - Pastors and Directors of Gorongosa Wa Yesu Base, Lino & Telvina. Pastors Armando & Lurdes & Calebe their son.
Pastor Mariano is Afrika Wa Yesu's Soccer Coach who has led his team to be Number One in the area!  Not only a coach, but the Dir. of the Inhaminga Bible School and with his wife Graca, Pastors of Inhaminga Wa Yesu. He is highly respected within the villa and surrounding areas.
You can't have a soccer game without wives and friends cheering the team on!  This was a wonderful way to open conference!
For our road trip from Nacala to Inhaminga for conference time, we purposefully planned to visit AWYesu churches we had not visited as of yet.  Each stop was different and truly heart warming. Murrupula (left) was our first stop for only 30 minutes.  The church was waiting for us by the roadside.  We encouraged the people, prayed with them and in that short time two men received Jesus.  God the author of time, maximized it's impact all along the way. Namacurra (right) was difficult to find, but when we did we sat with the people as we helped the women clean casava and as the men chatted together.  Suddenly, out comes the cooked chicken and rice. "You must eat before you go."  Generosity from nothing is a hallmark with the people.
Munhonha (left)..wow what a rich 45 minute visit.  Valentim and Esperanca traveled with us and they encouraged and testified in every location.  While the leader for this church was presently at Inhaminga's Bible School, one of our NGL 2017 graduates was at the helm. Excellence!  (right) Chimuara is located in an area that was ravaged by the war.  These people have come through more than we know and have done well. Not pictured here, we also stayed overnight in Nicoadala. The church was so packed, we moved all the benches outside and had the meeting in the full moon light.  Perfect.
On a Personal Note:

Together with you the LORD has done mighty things through your generosity, faithfulness and prayers. His covering is continual and His strength our joy.  In the fall the AWYesu Nacala Mozambican Team will be ministering in areas of their responsibilities, finishing construction, doing daily maintenance and tending to all the other duties in our absence. These are capable men and women ready for the task, demonstrating that we truly live in the exciting times of acceleration.  We appreciate your prayers for them.  We are proud of each one of them and their families. When we see you we will show you their work for 2017. Meanwhile,  make sure to check out AWYesu's official Face Book page and Website.
