Yemen
Deliberately Drowned
More than 50 migrants were thrown off a ship and drowned earlier today as it neared the coast of Yemen. The migrants, predominantly hailing from Somalia and Ethiopia, were forced off the boat by their smugglers once they'd neared the Yemeni coast due to rising fears that authorities would find them. The migrants were hoping to gain access to the Gulf States or Europe and hired the smugglers to ferry them across the Gulf of Aden. Overcrowding ships with the intent to force some of them off halfway through the trip has become a recent trend in the human trafficking business.

Cuba
Strange Happenings in Havana
Two Cuban diplomats were expelled from Washington after U.S. embassy staff in Havana complained of hearing problems. According to officials, the U.S. is investigating reports that the staff may have suffered hearing loss related to covert sonic devices. The Cuban foreign ministry said it was investigating these reports and feels that the expulsion of the two Cuban diplomats was unjustified.
