The Path to Lead
Impacting our Region
Leaders in the programs of the Metro Chamber Foundation have been making a difference in our region and community for years. Over the next few months, we will be sharing their stories to recognize their leadership and impact of the Metro Chamber Foundation on the region.
If you’re looking for a chance to lead, the opportunity to connect and to give back to your community, it's time to get involved in the programs of the Metro Chamber Foundation. Join us as we continue to help build and inspire tomorrow’s business leaders on their path to lead.
We hope to see you soon!

Inspire Giving Update
New Donor Model
Inspire Giving seeks to support and grow the spirit of giving in the Capital Region by bringing together businesses and individuals to support a local nonprofit. In 7 years, Inspire Giving has donated $75,000 in grants to 7 nonprofits, leveraging over an additional $1,000,000 in volunteer and in-kind services. Truly, a little is enough, if enough people do it.
Participation in Inspire Giving provides you with an annual vote to help decide who should receive the grant for the upcoming year. Historically, there were two membership levels: $250 member and $1,000 Founding member. Starting January 1st, we will move away from the membership model and you will have to donate annually to receive your vote UNLESS you join by the end of this year and are grandfathered in as a member. Click here to submit your donation and become a member for life.
Voting for our 2018 Inspire Giving grant recipient will be open from November 30th-January 5th. We will be sending out their proposals and a 2-minute video of why the nonprofit deserves the grant. Congratulations to our finalists: Agape Villages, Fresher Sacramento, and GRID Alternatives. Our 2018 Inspire Giving grant recipient will be announced at the Sacramento Metro Chamber's 132nd Annual Dinner on Friday, January 26th.

Leadership Sacramento Update
LS Class Project
Leadership Sacramento 2017’s class project to create a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) learning lab in South Sacramento is in full swing. This year’s class aims to provide hundreds of Sacramento students with equitable access to education resources at La Familia Counseling Center’s Maple Neighborhood Center.
The learning space will create new opportunities for students to engage and grow by offering STEM activities and lessons about coding, technology, robotics, electronics, arts and science.
The class welcomes support from the Metro Chamber community. Please check out the sponsorship opportunities and there is still time to give by visiting the Metro Chamber Foundation website and entering “LS17 Class Project” in the note field.
