WINTER WELLBEING
BOOST YOUR IMMUNITY / OJAS THIS WINTER

Ayurvedic Ojas

According to Ayurveda, Ojas are the subtle essence responsible for the body's immunity to disease.

Ojas are the most refined substance extracted from food which has undergone proper digestion and metabolism.

It takes 30 days for the body to digest food and refine it enough to produce Ojas. Within that time nutrients from the food are used to build the 7 major tissues of the body.

Ojas are lower during the cold, wet winter months so we have some great tips to boost your Ojas this winter.

There are certain foods and herbs in nature that build Ojas.

Eating these foods in combination with a more balanced lifestyle will support your immunity, sleep, energy and vitality.

Ojas Building Recipe

Combine 1 cup of milk of your choice with chopped dates, ground almonds, coconut flakes, saffron, ghee, cardamom (to taste).

Add - 1/4 tsp of these Ayurvedic Herbs - Shatavari & Ashwagandha

Bring to boil. Remove from heat and sweeten with 1/2 tsp of raw honey (optional) when cooler.

Drink 1 cup of this Ojas Building Tonic each night during winter to rebuild Ojas, support sleep and improve overall wellbeing.

CHYAWANPRASH

Ayurveda Superfood

Chyawanprash is a delicious nutritive tonic of medicinal fruits & herbs packed with Vitamin C to enhance your immunity and build Ojas.

Take 1 tsp with a warm drink 1 - 2 x daily.

WINTER YOGA PRACTICE TIPS

Move more!
Your practise meeds to be more active to energise the mind and body and reduce feelings of sluggishness and lethargy.

Choose postures that create more heat and improve circulation like standing postures, twists, backbones and inversions.

If you practise in this way you will not only create more warmth and energy in the mind but uplift the mind also.
