Colorful Colorado Launch
Today is the launch of my latest series, Colorful Colorado! This series is a love letter to the place I consider home and features 4 new pieces, 12"x16" and larger plus a few smaller pieces previously never released. I recently returned from another trip to Colorado, took hundreds of photos and have many more pieces in the works. I'll be doing a second launch of this continuing series later in the fall and because you're a newsletter subscriber, you'll be the first to know!

Latest Updates
I recently sold 3 pieces at the Maple & Main Gallery of Fine Art but still have 8 pieces on exhibit at their summer show which runs through the end of August, including the above pieces. If you're in the area, Chester, CT is such a quaint and historic old town with tons of character and makes for a great day trip. Pieces can be viewed/purchase in person or on their site.

This piece, "At the Farm" is a piece I created earlier this summer and is from the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts, an area rich in the Farm to Table movement and the agricultural hub of the state. This is a farm that has so much character that I've photographed it in a myriad of ways and across different seasons. Layered with early 1900s ledgers, area postcards/stamps, and vintage seed catalogs, this piece was recently exhibited in the Essex Art Association Gallery in historic Essex, CT and was the recipient of the Award for Overall Excellence by the juror in their "A Walk..." show. It's a 12x12" mixed media painting on wood cradle in a natural wood floating frame and is now available in the shop!

Upcoming Shows
I'll be participating in my first outdoor fine art festival and have been feverishly creating new work, framing up pieces, arranging my display and preparing for this event (something I've been contemplating for years and finally made the leap). If you're in the area, it will be at the Glastonbury, CT "On the Green" Fine Art Festival, September 9th & 10th.
