We're back from our summer break with a slightly redesigned newsletter and more content we hope you'll enjoy.  

We began our first full year on July 1, 2017 and will celebrate our birthday during Homecoming Week! We're excited about the future and hope you'll continue to support us and encourage B-School alumni to join SBANA as we build upon the rich history and legacy of the CAU B-School!

SBANA: CAREER CONNECTIONS
A key part of our mission is to support career development among B-School alumni to qualified undergraduate and MBA students. This summer we delivered on our mission and launched Career Connections, a career page on our website with several opportunities for B-School Alumni and students!

LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES 
We're looking for B-School alumni with accounting/finance and legal experience to join our Board and fill our open Treasurer and Parliamentarian positions. Nominate someone or yourself by sending us an email.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS UPDATE
We'd like to welcome our newest Board member, Ms. Margaret Sherel's (CAU '06)!  She officially began her two year term as Secretary on August 2.
We also welcomed back two founding members. Ms. Shiekgo Carter (CAU '94) and Mr. Kevin Y. Brown (CAU '07) who will serve as Members-at-Large.

B-SCHOOL NEWS

2017 YALI FELLOWSHIP
25 young leaders and professionals participated in this year's Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI).  They represented several African countries including: Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.

Hack the Panther Express
Location: CAU- Bishop Cornelius Henderson Student Center
Tickets: Register to Volunteer | Event Website
This hackathon is part of CAU's Freshman Program experience and is intended to demonstrate the focus the University places on entrepreneurship and innovation. 
6-hour technical marathon over 800 students.

2nd Annual Darrell Walker Art & Basketball Auction
Location: The Woodruff Arts Center

This event will raise scholarship funds for players who need to attend summer school to stay on a good academic track and graduate on time. Last year’s art auction raised over $40,000.
